Wow, two updates in two days! This one adds new features and bug fixes.

New Features

  • Global skybox setting! Select the scene root, and choose the skybox you want from the properties editor. You can select either a texture or a material. The new command Camera::SetSkybox will do this in code.
  • Export VMF files! You can now use Leadwerks Editor to make maps for Left 4 Dead or other games, if you are so inclined. Texture mapping planes are perfectly preserved in the export:

I hope to get a few more bugs fixed and get the Linux build running with Steam before the release of the Leadwerks Workshop.

Yay! Everything works great now after the bug fixes. Also the new skybox system was a nice touch. smile.png I have to ask though, Did you reduce the View Range distance?

Yes. The distances seemed quite far to me. I'll add a control for it in the scene properties when I have time. Another setting in the options could be used to multiply these values, i.e. "low" means times 0.25.

Nice work Josh! However does it work both ways? I would like to map in source sdk and then import it into leadwerks.

There is presently no VMF importer. This update is first available on the beta branch on Steam.
