Knowing we are running from the game player

Was just thinking that since the game player in LE is sandbox mode (I believe) and you can't use file i/o in sandbox mode, I was wondering if there is a way we can tell we are running from the gameplayer in our scripts? Might be nice to know this so we can skip calling i/o functions to avoid errors instead of needing different scripts of the game to run in the game player vs not using the game player.
