A fresh new look...or a blast from the past?

You may notice the website header looks a little different. Sleeker, cooler, more 2013ish. Well, it's actually a lot more classic Leadwerks than you might realize. Here's what Leadwerks.com looked like in 2005:

everything is going retro nowadays... Windows with no windowed apps... same on mac... blame the phones, but it seems as if old is new, nowadays...

so, a blast from the past could be seem as a fresh new look...

besides... the new audience probably wouldn't have been around long enough to recognize the old theme anywas...

Yeah, even in programming old is new again. I never imagined writing color palette effects, relying on LUTs and using various old school code tricks in 2013! .. I guess it's thanks mobile for resurrecting a dying art?

(reading the old news posts)

What happened to all that top notch content developers were privy to? Seems like it was a good thing going on.. judging by the typical screenshots, LE2's official trademark mascot was the firepit, and i guess LE3's will be the barbarian?

I think you are going backwards. I thought the site looked pretty darn good. Now not so much sad.png

Really? All we did was make the header shorter and span the entire page.

No you did more than that. You took out the status update, gallery preview, header slide show. All of which to me, made it look and feel like a community. Now it just looks like any other forum.

The header couldn't randomly switch, and it took a lot of screen space real estate. The gallery preview is still on the Portal page.
