      @aiaf I might, but from what I understand a lot of people won't touch unreal simply due to the complexity. I suspect unreal will perform better than unity, but I think both will still be an order of magnitude slower than our new engine. We'll see.

      One thing I hate about unreal engine is how slanted it is toward nvidia hardware.  It's upwards of twice as fast in some situations.  It also only supports SLI (not crossfire).

      Would be nice if Turbo was a little friendlier to GCN/AMD arch 😃

  7. I requested exhibitor info for VRDC 2019.

      Okay, there is no VRDC, it's just the GDC without a separate conference.

      Price is the same as I remember a few years ago, about $9000 for a 10x10, $18000 for a 10x20.

      I think it means the best way to import model into Turbo (fbx is the old way)

      @gamecreator We will support direct loading of GLTF and MDL files. The FBX converter will still be available and it will still work the same way. Will probably be built into the editor still.

      Ah gotcha.  Ok.  It will be nice to keep support for FBX since literally every model I buy comes in that format and converting them would be an extra step.

  12. Storing all our site data on Amazon S3 was a great move. We can offer pretty much unlimited storage and our own server backups stay the same size.

      I think the forums were like this even without Discord the last however many months.  That said, I'm pleasantly surprised by how active the Discord seems.

  18. I've created a MONSTER! Gaming laptop with Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04 dual boot!!!

      There is some random line of text you can add to the Ubuntu terminal to fix the time thing.

      I had to install everything twice because of UEFI settings. 🙄

  21. I think an interesting game idea would be to make a multiplayer battle based on these sort of unarmed revolutions in Ukraine and France. Call it "Civil Unrest". There would be lots of weird mechanics and unconventional weapons and strategies different from a standard war game.

      I like the idea would be different indeed.

      But it imply crowds which i think is tricky to do believable.

      Going for just players no ai could work ,small scale fights (rioters vs police).But still need a certain number of player , cant do with 2 this civil unrest theme.

      Hmmm maybe the player controls a crowd of people instead a single person?

      crowd behaviour could be like flocking birds, where each individual follows its own closest leader. "milling" as a neutral status. Other statuses like "agitated", "angry", "controlled", "rampaging", "subdued", with events like "attacked", "crushed", "baited", "dispersed", "whittled", "ordered". A large crowd is a number of smaller crowds that can affect the status of their neighbours.

      Individuals can migrate from one small crowd to another under a some statuses.  Just a first thought.
