Cool progress Josh. Mac is indeed a nice platform to work on. The transition to mac from pc is a bit less painful if you've worked with Linux before. This shall benefit us all!
  3. or plug one of these in via usb: http://www.cubixgpu.com/

  5. I model all of my stuff, game and non-game related in blender. From there it's just a matter of exporting to fbx (which blender does fine) and using LE's converter to gmf. Works like a charm! Or if you prefer the longer way and own unwrap3d pro, export to .obj (also works great from blender), open the obj file in unwrap 3d, re-save as gmf. Works even better! Not everything has to be straight from your 3d software to your engine of choice. Using a workflow/pipeline is always necessary as it offers diversity to the content-creation tools and possibilities to the designers.
  6. aha! then Macklebee is the beer guy! Thanks guys and MG for the replies. I'm trying to catch up once more with LE and your help really is a shortcut that saves a lotta time. regards, Alvaro ps. Gonna try the skybox as you suggested MG. BRB with any issues.
  7. You know me MG always screwing things up! lol. BTW, I'm checking your latest posts on bmax code. Have you got a "latest and greatest-loading scene example code"? Also on your c++ and beer days when you created your loading scene example (here): http://leadwerks.com/werkspace/index.php?/topic/381-scene-loading-example/page__hl__simple+fps your second version of the code (the update for LE 2.3) still works great today, but in it you forgot to include the line to add the skybox, yet if I use the line from the original code it generates errors since it was bound to framewerk and lua I think. Mind if I bother you once more and ask for help on how to load a skybox nowadays? (meaning the 2.40 days). prost!
  8. Hi everyone, Ever since my last "sync" with 2.40 I'm getting the following error when trying to create a project using LE's wizard (check image attached please): Indeed, if I check the folders, the .vcprojs, and the other files reported are missing. Has my installation become corrupted? Has anyone got an idea on how to fix it? kind regards, Alvaro F. Celis EDITED: OOOOPS! I apologize! silly me! I had the wrong path Mods please remove my post.
  9. yup, cool, looking forward to it, I'm also still on XP.
  10. This looks impressive. Josh has done a great job at all levels, engine and external-tool integration wise. I hope the price remains at $350 long enough while I can save those extra bucks, hehehehehe.
  11. Count me in NA. Just let me know where I have to sign
  12. Another vote here for Foxit reader instead of Adobe's. Does the same job with great performance and it's a lot less intrussive (just watch out not to install the ask.com stuff in the process). and yup, I also love XP.

This also proves how customizable mozilla-based browsers can be, and how flexible these kind of projects are. Have you tried/used openoffice? It might also suit your needs in terms of interface consistency btw. Good work there with the Fireflorer.
  14. Hey guys, Long time no post, but I thought this would be an interesting thing to link. gog.com (good old games) has got some not-so-old titles among its catalogue, and I thought some of you might be interested in this weekend's promo: http://www.gog.com/en/promo/majesco blood rayne 1/2, advent rising and psychonauts for US$16. Some nice game ideas among those titles cheers, Alvaro

Thanks Josh. Indeed, any improvement on tools for us non-programmers will always be something to celebrate.
  16. I have to agree. Thanks for your time and dedication Josh. B)
  17. whoa Lumooja! you sure are an organized guy! This is a great way to understand the real scale of the engine and what it covers. really good work. Like a mindmap. thanks for posting it. regards, Alvaro
  18. looooooooool. I'm not at that point yet, and prolly will never be, but it's always good to consider the "worst case scenario", heheheh. Asking here and getting responses like yours' make me learn a lot...believe me!
  19. But then if you need to run your project on another pc that doesn't have the SDK you're screwed i.e. if you want to do a showcase presentation to a client on his pc. I always like to keep things local because of that, making sure all of the required files are there.
  20. MG, you can also keep your abstract path relative to your app's folder, in case you're working outside LE's, with: RegisterAbstractPath AppDir
  21. Cool model. I'm also looking forward to all of your packs becoming gmf-ized
  22. wow! so many memories cross my mind! Guys over at Irrlicht will be glad with the news. Irrlicht supports .csm files natively
  23. done! Thanks for the link, I had no idea there was a place to put resources in. regards, Alvaro
