Leadwerks 3 begins closed beta test
in Ultra Software Company Blog
A group blog by The Ultra Software Team in General
I'm looking forward to the open beta, or a closed beta invitation. =)
-
Yay!!! Someone uses my shader =)
Looks really nice!
-
The i++ version creates a temporary copy of i, increases i by one and returns the copy.
The ++i version just increases the value of i by one and returns it.
-
I have another little optimization for you.
Always use pre incrementing values where possible, like ++i instead of i++.

Looks good, but where is the sunlight and shadows?
-
Don't promise me fun, i want to have fun with it now! =)
-
its missing the 'MakeGame' button that it seems most people are thinking its going to have...
I thought that button is located somewhere in the Tools menu...
No honestly, i like the look of the editor. Looks easy to navigate and gives us a lot more features than we have right now. Now just release it =)
-
Wow, that looks so sweet!
Looks almost complete....
-
I agree with Lazlo. It's much cleaner and self explanatory, compared to the drag&drop approach.
-
Omg, i really need LE3. The earlier the better =)
-
Josh must think we're crazy
-
The sunlight could use a slightly blue tint...
-
Great to see Josh has more backup now. Just make sure that he sleeps enough...we need him a few more years =)
-
i can't wait to buy LE3D, let me give you my money now!
-
Release in summer!?!? Looks like i will have no time to get outside this summer ^^
-
I sometimes wonder why there is a specification if no one sticks to it. Like the intel "graphics cards"...*sigh*
-
Nice work Josh!
Please also add _diff and _norm (as Paul suggested), because i use them throughout my projects.
-
I really need to get my hands on L3D
Great progress so far!
-
1 or 4
-
I just have to agree with Rick, at least concerning point 1 to 4.
Dunno if i hate him for the last part, because i assume he is almost right there.
-
Thanks for keeping us up to date, Josh!
LIke always it sounds very promising and well thought-out.
-
Not as amazing as i expected from your previous post, but that might be just because i'm a windows fanboy
Seriously, it's great to see the engine making such progress
-
I'm no math genius, but i was able to google you an example code
http://www.euclideanspace.com/maths/algebra/matrix/functions/inverse/fourD/index.htm
You will need the picture in the upper right corner here, to rename the variables in the right way.
Will take some time renaming all the variables

I feared only LUA will have such "project managment" support. Nice to have that in C++, too!
I actually aggree with metatron (doesn't happen too often ). It would make it somewhat easier for us C++ people to share libraries between projects.
