I too use cpp and although a bit shaky in understsnding classes I managed to make a couple and all is going well .I like your post.

No tutorials is ok providing the api examples are enough to get a beginner started. Gameplay coding comes easy to me, but not setting up code.

I use c++ too. A first person example would suit me as changing it to a third person game is not too difficult.My decision whether to buy the next game engine(turbo) will not depend entirely on examples but rather on price, I won't pay monthly.

For me the great thing about Le4 is the clean, consistent and easy to remember Api functionality.
Other engines are more complex in that redard.

Josh has said that le 4 will still be available to buy.I hope this comes true. le 2 was not much protected when le 3 came out.
I still have a copy but cannot find the api examples. Not tooo worried about le 2 though as I love le 4. Will I buy le 5? Hurry up Josh I am 93 years old now.

Thing that worries me about this subject is I don't have a clue what any of you are talking about. Given a choice I will just use old fashioned c language. Its easy to learn, its fast and could do the job.

Inn most engines the "pro" version" means a lot more advanced features than the indie version. I can't see that happening here as the bias is heavily towards lua.

I am happy with the current pricing policy, I just hope modelling features in the editor have been added in 3.1.Things like boolean and hollow.
One of the reasons I look forward to updates is they bring the forum back to life for a few weeks .I hate it whe there are no new posts.Maybe big updates hould be twice a year.
