  1. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/textures-r6 That is not the behaviour that I see. Using: [L]eft click [R]ight click [M]iddle click croll wheel [d]rag Ld: move (correct) LRd: move (side effect of above, I think) Rd: nothing (documented to zoom, but doesn't) Md: nothing Rs: nothing Ms: nothing s: nothing (this was what the rest of the app uses)
  2. On: http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/textures-r6 Nothing happens. It doesn't appear to register there was an attempt.
  3. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/asset-browser-r5 The Models folder only contains Fan and Firepit, not Crates. The correct search term should probably be 'Fire'.
  4. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/asset-browser-r5 Removing the 'Test' and 'Test:Subtest' folder as directed makes it look like it accidentally deleted all your top level files. This is because it automatically unchecked 'Recursive' which had been checked by default.
  5. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/asset-browser-r5 The folder didn't open. I expected Nautilus or similar to open to the specified directory.
  6. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/lights-r4 It doesn't. It appears to be because when you place it as directed, it is place below the floor. You have to drag it up in the Left-ZY screen for it to cast any light. The correct fix might be for the Lights.map to place the floor lower...?
  7. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/lights-r4 It then shows: Since the lights don't have any tooltips, being in a different order could be confusing. The bottom one looks like the Sun, so it isn't immediately obvious... Tooltips would be helpful.
  8. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/scene-panel-r3 When selected in the viewport, the Delete key does not work. When selected in the scene tree, the Delete key does not work. The Right-click menu from the scene tree has 'Delete' not 'Remove'. It does work. The Edit>Delete menu does work. The [x] toolbar button should also be mentioned, and does work.
  9. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/scene-panel-r3 There is no Floor brush. If you select the correct item in the perspective view, you will notice it is called Box 1.
  10. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/scene-panel-r3 The ctrl-key does not work to allow multi-selection. Just to confirm, I tried both ctrl keys, the alt key, the shift key and combinations of them.
  11. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/constructive-solid-geometry-r2 "Select one brush and then press the Carve toolbar button." "Create a new box brush and press the Hollow toolbar button in the main toolbar." Both are available in the menu, but not on the toolbar
  12. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/constructive-solid-geometry-r2 "You can switch to skew mode by selecting the Skew toolbar button." It's called Skew in the Edit menu, but Shear in the toolbar.
  13. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/constructive-solid-geometry-r2 During "Now activate the "Left - ZY" viewport. We are going to create a tube right above the box we just made." step I received: Error: Failed to load material "Materials/Developer/caulk.mat"
  14. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/editor-interface-r1 It says you will see the welcome page initially, but you don't. It also says you can enable/disable it under Help:Welcome Page, but that option doesn't exist.
  15. On http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/editor-interface-r1 It says: "We can also drag the dividers in between the viewports to adjust their size." The dividers are not selectible, clickable or draggable.
  16. On this page: http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/editor-interface-r1 It says: "You can switch from four to one viewports by selecting the View > Single Viewport menu item." That option doesn't exist It also says: "The option to switch between single and four viewports can also be activated with a shortcut: F12." That didn't do anything either
  17. On this tutorial: http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/editor-interface-r1 It says: "By clicking with the left mouse button in one the viewports, we make it the active viewport." It is not obvious when clicking in the different viewports which one is active. The Perspective view always appears to be active. There is no visual indication that anything happens. That only reason you can tell that it worked is because the brackets (][) work to change the grid size of the correct window.
  18. I had wiped out my Documents/Leadwerks to start with fresh projects I updated to 3.5 on Linux via Steam I decided to walk through all the new tutorial content. On this page: http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/editor-interface-r1 Loading up the new tutorials project, I received: Error: Failed to load map "/home/malachi/Documents/Leadwerks/Projects\Tutorials/Maps/start.map". Checking the directory, that file is in fact missing: -rwxrwxr-x 1 malachi malachi 68565 May 20 22:20 Scene Panel.map -rwxrwxr-x 1 malachi malachi 51003 May 20 22:20 Prefabs.map -rwxrwxr-x 1 malachi malachi 50526 May 20 22:20 Object Scripts.map -rwxrwxr-x 1 malachi malachi 56437 May 20 22:20 Lights.map -rwxrwxr-x 1 malachi malachi 51812 May 20 22:20 Editor Interface.map Leadwerks.log is 0 bytes, so nothing to attach I was able to move forward with the tutorial. Not sure what impact that error really has.
  19. As suggested by Josh in his last Blog post, I've started a thread with suggestions/ requests for Jorn tutorials. How to use pick info. How to use emitters. How to use the animation manager ( in script) Feel free to add to the list.
  20. Well, I bought the software, but I know nothing about Lua, and I really want to make at least a basic game in 3rd person, but I can't find any tutorial, I'm lost. Could someone help me with a link to learn Lua for games? Or a video-tutorial since the basic? Thanks. P.s. I'm brazilian so... I don't really speak english, I understand perfectly, but write... ~edit~ I already saw the tutorials here, but it's hard to understand because anybody really explain it for beginners The best tutorial I found was Jorn Theunissen's tutorial.
  21. I noticed that I cannot start a new topic in the tutorial section. Is it a case of simply asking for the appropriate rights or is there an approval process I'd need to work my way through? For now at least I'm interested in posting small how-to's using Lua scripts, nothing fancy. edit: Didn't think of this but there is also the steam community guides as well. Would it be more sensible to post guides there or here?
  22. Hi everyone! Just wanted to share a video tutorial I made! Sorry about the video quality, I'm really bad at making videos, better stick to game development . I hope it's useful! Notes: -In the Lua script for the animated model, you MUST use SetAnimationFrame(), as the model for some reason doesn't automatically animate.
  23. I made a nice little game and have a few questions. 1. Can you export your game to your computer and not the Steam Workshop? 2. When I export it is not titled what I originally set the title to, and when I start up the game, it is only a block and an orange floor. If anyone can help me that would be great.
  24. Hello, I recently started to use Leadwerks Indie Edition, but I've never used lua, or a scripting language (I've only programmed in c++, c#, java), so I need some tutorial that explains the basics, but those who I found are all old. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a tutorial lua updated that works with Leadwerks 3.1 Thanks
