  1. I'm trying to create a script that spawns an object every so often at a set time, but I keep getting a script error that says " '=' expected near 'function'". I'm new to programming and have no clue what that means. here's a screenshot of it in context. ANy help would be very appreciated. Script.spawnObject = "" --entity "Object" Script.spawnTimer = 1.5 --float "Spawn timer" Script.timer function Script:UpdateWorld() self.timer = self.timer + (Time:GetSpeed()/100) if(self.timer > self.spawnTimer) then local newObject = self.spawnObject:Instance() newObject:SetPosition(self.entity:G
  2. In Windows, when you try to create a hight quality 32x MSAA render in a large scene, you may an error and display driver stopped and recovered appears. Most likely it is related to "Timeout Detection and Recovery (TDR)". This is because the scene takes more than 2 seconds to render. Windows understands that it is not a normal behavior that a scene in real time take more than 2 seconds to be rendered and active this protection. Don't worry, is easily solved: 1- Download and install the TDR manipulator and follow the instructions from link. I personally have the TDR disable and d
  3. Ok... When I bought leadwerks i thought I would be able to do some cool things, but when I launched it for the first time I realized that I just could program in lua, but it was written there, really small, but it was there, so it was my fault. After a few days I stopped using it, bye bye money, and now that I want to come back and use it the first thing that I see when I click it is a ****ing big error window. Why the hell I can't use a **** that I paid for it? So I read some topic in the forum, but I realized 2 things: 1- I can't refund it, because "we don't have access to steam purchase
  4. Just got this message ???? Why is that? Is it my ram (i have 16gb)? Is it my gpu memory (I have an nvidia 650 ti boost 2gb superclocked)...
  5. Hello! I all the time while working all the time there are errors. You cannot download a project that I created, because he simply does not find (not even a standard project with mygame). During operation crashes are often the error message "Failed to create backup folders ...". To close the program impossible. (If you close the error message "Failed to save settings" with a single "OK" button which, when pressed, I return to the editor. So close is possible only through task Manager). These problems appear after installation. What can I do to fix the error? The log program : Здравствуйте
  6. Error tends to occur when loading "terraintool.shader." Specs are as follow: AMD FX-8350 XFX R9 280x 8gb of Kingston HyperX @ 1600Mhz (And that's all that's important.) This error started happening when I bought my 280x. The engine ran fine on my 660 ti. My friend with a 280x also has this exact same error. Any ideas? Am I simply missing an install, or need a re-install due to a GPU change?
  7. Hello again everyone, I am having an issue with the editor whereby it works absolutely fine in the textured render mode but as soon as I try and run the game or if I render a window in textured+lighting I get the error: Framebuffer incomplete: GL_FRAMEBUFFER_INCOMPLETE_MISSING_ATTACHMENT Now I have been looking at the forums for a while now and it seems that this has happened before but the solutions proposed (deleting objects + computer restart) do not seem to be working... This wasn't a problem before until I added lots of lights to my game... I am making an inside level so excl
  8. its only in my work in progress map ... appear if i want start in debug mode, using beta of engine. at normal run there is no message.
  9. Hello! Today, I bought this development kit via the Steam store, and ran it for the first time. I encountered the same error as this user, but I am running it on a laptop, not a desktop; as such, I do not know if the drivers on http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/drivers would work for me. There is a link below the windows section ("For laptop graphics drivers please see AMD's website."), but all it does is lead to the main AMD download page. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L875 (running Windows 7, 64-bit,) containing a Radeon HD 7670M graphics card. The card's driver ver
  10. So after making my model and revision it 2 times I cant figure out why when I import it and place a fps camera in it. When the game starts the forward position is off and the camera shows above the player model. I do want the camera in third person but I want to be able to have it not controlling it backwards. This model contains: BI-Pod/Bones 10 Objects BEFORE DOWNLOADING THIS ATTACHMENT PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW AND READ THE TERMS OF USE. 11. Hi, As I was creating a death trigger, and trying it out, I get this: If anyone knows why this is occurring would be greatly appreciated! (Also, sorry if this is a newbie question, I've never used lua before).
  12. So I reinstalled ubuntu to get rid of the Steam client, but now I'm getting an error when trying to compile the default C++ project. The log: I don't remember the Steam client was one of the system requirements, but could be wrong.
  13. I am trying to get Leadwerks to install correctly on Gentoo. I realize that only Ubuntu is supported, but that doesn't mean the program shouldn't run on another distribution. Whenever I try to run the LeadwerksUpdater, I get a blank GTK window for a split second before it dies with a segmentation fault. No additional dbug information is provided. Here's my "conversion" table marking packages in Ubuntu and their equivalent packages in Gentoo: libc6:i386 == sys-libs/lib-compat (1.4.2-r1) libgcc1:i386 == sys-devel/gcc (4.8.3) libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 == media-libs/mesa (10.2.2) libglib2.0-
  14. Hey, I have a problem that I must say, puzzles me quite a bit. when I opened my game after an update 2 months ago I recieved the error: Error 1 error C2668: 'Leadwerks::Entity::SetPosition' : ambiguous call to overloaded function 3 IntelliSense: more than one instance of overloaded function "Leadwerks::Entity::SetPosition" matches the argument list: function "Leadwerks::Entity::SetPosition(double x, double y, double z, bool global = false)" function "Leadwerks::Entity::SetPosition(float x, float y, float z, bool global = false)" argument
