Steam Achievements

Need more of these I think. It'll game-ify the experience for new users whilst using the editor and encourage them to discover more of Leadwerks.

Some ideas I thought of:

-Achievement for using GI

-Achievement for publishing game as stand alone

-Achievement for publishing game as workshop item

-Achievement for using debug mode

-Achievement for opening main.lua

-Achievement for importing models

-Achievement for importing models with animations

-Achievement for importing textures

-Achievement for using different shaders: Solid, Alpha, ModX2 etc.

-Achievement for opening different example templates: Advanced FPS Shooter, Marble Example, etc.

Some of the achievements seem insignificant but I think the concept will work on new users. Every achievement that pops up will make them feel they're progressing as they try to find out what works and what doesn't.

Feel free to add more achievement idea to the list.

Master Werker - use LW 300 hrs

WerkShopper- Subscribe to a Workshop item

Cameraman - publish a screenshot

Gamer - play a game from the Workshop

Developer - submit a game to the Workshop

GreenWerker - submit a project for Greenlighting

Legend - have your LW project greenlighted

Deity - have your LW game on Steam.

I always like the idea of word play and references in achievements:

I like to move it, move it. - Use the transform gizmo 1000 times

What goes around, comes around - Use the rotation gizmo 1000 times

Size does matter - Use the scale gizmo 1000 times

Big brother is watching you - create 100 camera's

Oh snap - Turn on/off the grid snapping option

Go with the flow - Connect two entities in the Flowgraph editor

Happy little accidents - Use the vegetation editor

To walk or not to walk - Build a navmesh

Run forest, run - Run your game in the editor

Lord of the rings - Create 20 torus CSG brushes

The first day - Create a directional light

The second day - Set a skybox

The third day - Create a terrain or activate the water layer

Love the genesis reference. I'm not religious though, I just thought it was clever.

These are all fun ideas. I especially love Jorn's playful titles. Only suggestion is to not put too many achievements in because they'll feel less special if you get one every minute.
