Easy player 3d model

Thought I'd share something I found recently that might save people a bunch of time. http://www.makehuman.org/

The software basically helps you generate a 3d character model in whatever proportions you wants etc.. All the models you create with it are under a CC Zero license, meaning you can sell or use the models for comercial or non-comercial purposes.

I think they would be to high-poly for games with out retopology.

Actually you can apply a proxy to em to make em low poly. Looking at tutorials right now and it looks awesome. It even adds bones and exports to 3dmax and blender.

Great tool to make a base character with good proportions to work and sculpt in 3D Coat, Sculptris , Blender, or simply to start retopology to make a lower resolution for real time game.

I use FUSE for quick character creation

I am a FUSE user as well. Disappointed with it though. Not enough variation to make a full character there isn't a lot of models available at the moment. Hoping they will bring more stuff into it, I export from FUSE and then sculpt in 3D Coat now though

You can do a lot with fuse i also have dlc and you can edit it in other Software like 3D coat

3DS Max is coming in that area also to speed up character creation for games also.

It would be great if there is an exporter from MakeHuman to LeadWerks engine. just saying

Too human is for making static characters , not animated ones, and the characters are nude.

So it would be useless to export from MakeHuman to LEadwerks directly.

After using MakeHuman you'll have to export your character to another program like 3D coat or BLender or any other program to add clothes and to make animations.
