Hello,

is it possible to crate groups in my Level, to organize it a bit more?

Grouping all the different Boxes and Models to "tidy a bit up".

Is such a function avilable?

Someone might help me with this question, that would be great.

Have a nice day,

Actually you can put stuff as child of some object to make groups in the scene tab panel.

Ability to create some folder system working as groups has been requested already to work with better workflow , we'll see if something will appear ?

I'm actually doing that with 2 things:

array and parenting.

once I don't need room I just throw in pool all child objects.

but once I need room that's when I access array and load the objects from pool OFC they are positioned depending on the array.

for easier creating array I did my self an automated function witch written me the array of rotation and quaternion.

when you see very good tactic

Basics are your greatest strength.

In LE3 you will have to do like Unity for example and put objects as child when needed to organize your level :

Example below :

- Generators parent that could be in LE3 some Pivot simply

- Layout that is static level stuff : again a simple pivot or some parent floor scene object for example

---------------------

Hammer-style groups would be nice. It could work by just parenting them to a pivot automatically.

Yes would be great in LE3 even if we can do it using Pivots, UDK have layer and grouping system also.

Interesting way UDK works , ideas for LE3 editor :

Creating Groups and Adding Actors to a Group To assemble a set of actors in the level into one new group, first select all actors in the level that are to be grouped. (Remember, you can Ctrl-click to select multiple actors.) Then, in the Groups Browser, open the File menu and choose New. Name the group and click OK; the group is created, and the actors you selected are added to it.

Hello,

thank You for the answers.smile.pngsmile.pngsmile.png

Grouping Level Geometry and Models together to a new group. For example to a single room.

Then beeing able to scope down into that group, the room. Now only the room is visable. Working at it.

And scoping up again back to the whole level again.

For example, thats how I experienced it with 3D Gamestudio.

Would be great, to have such a feature in Leadwerks Engine.
