Have an Ubuntu 13.10 install with AMD drivers, doing glxinfo | grep vendor; glxinfo | grep version gives

server glx vendor string: ATI

client glx vendor string: ATI

OpenGL vendor string: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

server glx version string: 1.4

client glx version string: 1.4

GLX version: 1.4

OpenGL core profile version string: 4.2.12337 Core Profile Context 9.00.11

OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.30

OpenGL version string: 4.2.12337 Compatibility Profile Context 9.00.11

OpenGL shading language version string: 4.30

Install fails with

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

unity-gtk2-module:i386 : Depends: unity-gtk-module-common:i386 (>= 0.0.0+13.10.20130716.1-0ubuntu1) but it is not installable

Any idea's??

Yes been there done it, doesn't work. sad.png

Edited out the last line in the install.sh file and it seems to work.

"sudo apt-get install appmenu-gtk:i386" seems to be broken but stuff appears to work

sudo apt-get install unity-gtk2-module

that should let you launch it

if it starts crashing when you open menus follow the rest of the guide here:

System:

Linux Mint 17 ( = Ubuntu 14.04 with cinnamon desktop ) Ubuntu 14.04, AMD HD 6850, i5 2500k

At least for me, it appears to be because the 64-bit version is installed and the 32-bit version is not available:

unity-gtk-module-common:i386:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: (none)
Version table:

unity-gtk-module-common:
Installed: 0.0.0+13.10.20130716.1-0ubuntu1
Candidate: 0.0.0+13.10.20130716.1-0ubuntu1
Version table:
*** 0.0.0+13.10.20130716.1-0ubuntu1 0
	500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ saucy/main amd64 Packages
	100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I ran the updater anyway. It started with the following error, but appears to be updating.

Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"

The updater installs into my user.home instead of the directory I chose, but the update does finish.

I am able to launch the editor.

Clicking import core dumps.

Opening the tutorial map works.
