What makes the player stick to the moving platforms?

After attempting to make a rotating platform script, I wondered how the platforms in the moving platforms example kept the player on top of them. I've looked through the script of both the moving platform and the fps controller, but I can't pinpoint what in those scripts make this happen. Does it have to do with the physics properties?

When the player is standing on a moving object, that object transfers momentum to them, automatically. smile.png

So "friction" is in fact the correct answer.

i guess friction is hard to transfer over network connection.

Or why do so many multiplayer games have issues when players stay on top of a moving platform and slide down or something like that?

For example that was always an issue in Battlefield 1942. Not sure if that is still an issue in the newer battlefield parts. Or maybe there are no more aircraft carriers. :)
