By default Visual Studio is complaining about the Windows target version. This is stored in the vcproj file in this property:

WindowsTargetPlatformVersion

If I remove this property and open the project, VS complains that the version 8.1 is not found.

...

Hmmm, looks like here is a solution:

https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/140294/windowstargetplatformversion-makes-it-impossible-t.html

<!-- Latest Target Version property -->
<!-- https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/140294/windowstargetplatformversion-makes-it-impossible-t.html-->
<PropertyGroup Condition="'$(WindowsTargetPlatformVersion)'==''">
	<LatestTargetPlatformVersion>$([Microsoft.Build.Utilities.ToolLocationHelper]::GetLatestSDKTargetPlatformVersion('Windows', '10.0'))</LatestTargetPlatformVersion>
	<WindowsTargetPlatformVersion Condition="'$(WindowsTargetPlatformVersion)' == ''">$(LatestTargetPlatformVersion)</WindowsTargetPlatformVersion>
	<TargetPlatformVersion>$(WindowsTargetPlatformVersion)</TargetPlatformVersion>
</PropertyGroup>

Let's build cool stuff and have fun. :)
