Alienhead Posted May 30 Posted May 30 About the video: I haven't officially announced this product yet so consider this a pre-screener of sorts. I was half way through recording this video when I noticed I was recording at 4k res! Instead of starting over I just continued through, the playback may be a bit jumpy do to that aspect. The system is actually extremely optimized and I'm running this scene your about to see at around 186-144 fps ( just not while recording 4k lol). Xtreme-Biomes: A paint-on vegetation system under development for my game title Junkman Sam but I have decided to genericize it and make it useable simply by dropping a pivot onto your play map and attaching the engine to it. This is stage one, placement, and I['ve only got grass in so far. There are biomes for trees, bushes, weeds, rocks and nature's insects. Plus a few more i won't disclose as of yet. This stage does not include player interaction with the grass, although I have it coded in and working already - it needs some optimizations and I haven't put much time into it just yet, but its next! Player will be able to walk through tall grass and push it aside, carve a path on heavily traveled paths and a lot more. Anyways, that's enough detail for now..
