I think it would be pretty cool if we could create custom navmeshes via importing a model and using its vertices as the navmesh itself. This would make it easier to create unusual navmeshes such as spherical ones if someone needed to create something akin to Mario Galaxy for instance. The advantage of importing a custom mesh goes beyond just spherical areas in that you could create interior spaces or holes in surfaces that could be traversed as an ant might do it, walking on all sides of a unique surface.
