Ultra Engine 0.9.9 is here with new features, improved usability, and access to thousands of free 3D assets to use in your games. This new update is the most stable and user-friendly version of our engine and editor to date.

Revised Interface

We've made great improvements to the user interface and workflow, based on conversations with the community and usability testing. Mouse tools have been moved into a left-side column for convenience and greater ease of use. A slick new color scheme gives the whole UI a distinctive feel. The new icon set really pops, but it's also functional, making it easier to identify buttons so you can work more quickly.

Built-in Code Editor

Due to popular demand, we've brought back the integrated code editor, with a slick new interface that looks great and provides a clutter-free coding environment. A new Lua debugger provides insight into your game code, without a lot of visual distractions. The new IDE was made possible with the release of @klepto2's Scintilla implementation.

Downloads Manager

The integrated downloads manager provides access to thousands of high-quality assets, including game-ready PBR materials, 3D models, and skyboxes. This system is built on the powerful Invision Community software we use on our website.

Mesh Reduction Tool

The model editor interface has a new mesh reduction tool that lets you easily decimate detailed meshes, to make them ready for real-time use, or to add LODs to a model.
