So I am trying to use some texturesfor land in the 2.3 editor so I put the textures (witch are in dds format) textures file opened up the editor and paint and the textures did not show up can some one help me.

You need to save the DDS texture as DXT5 + generate MipMaps. Without MipMaps the engine doesn't show the texture at all.

That's not true. Textures do not require mipmaps or DXTC5 format. Cubemaps do require mipmaps on NVidia hardware.

 

When making a post like this, please post the relevant files. Otherwise we are just speculating about what the cause might be.
