How to get started?

I created a project and all it does is open project folder.  I can't even open the editor (Youtube video starts with it open?)  I tried following youtube on how to get Ultra Engine running, learn page doesn't say(?).  Do I just delete everything in main and start from scratch like in The Concept Boy's Leadwerks tutorial?  Do I have to use Leadwerks or blender or something?

Hello,

You will need Visual Studio 2022 (free Community version is fine) to open the project solution file (.sln):
https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/

From there, you can copy and paste any of the code examples in the documentation into main.cpp and run it. For example:

Ok thanks I installed Visual Studio already but still unable to follow the leadwerks tutorials?  How to open your editor like in the youtube examples are so hard to follow since missing steps

Okay, there are two game engines this site is related to.

Leadwerks is my older engine that is sold on Steam. Its documenation is here: https://leadwerks.com/learn

Ultra Engine is the newest and most advanced, with documentation here: https://www.ultraengine.com/learn

It sounds like the videos you are referring to are for use with Leadwerks, not Ultra.

I own Leadwerks+ on steam and I paid $7/month for Ultra for a client that does what exactly, creates a project and opens project folder that's all.   I don't even know how to get started opening your Ultra engine editor.

Ultra Engine, at this point, is just a programming SDK for use with Visual Studio. The editor is still in development. It was released now so that people could have it early without waiting for the full editor to be finished.
