I'm working on a little section of a play map where I need to increase the players speed by 250%.

All good doing that, but being it's a player controller the character slides to a stop way to far. I'm trying to make it pretty much where the player doesn't slide at all due to the high speed, I have played with friction setting but it doesnt seem to apply to a character controller in physics land.

Any ideas what settings/commands I can mess with to lessen this sliding effect ?
