Alienhead Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 Latest build update 'c'. It seems to have created a directory for everything under the projects folder. Just check if this is correct for continuing. Quote Alienhead Components and Software
Alienhead Posted October 16, 2024 Author Posted October 16, 2024 Also projects from last build will not load, it just spins at the splash screen and nothing never happens. Quote Alienhead Components and Software
Alienhead Posted October 16, 2024 Author Posted October 16, 2024 Older projects won't sync either.. Stays orange, Quote Alienhead Components and Software
Josh Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 Are you on the dev channel? Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
Josh Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 I think you need to uninstall the current version you have and re-download it. Don't uninstall the whole client, just hit the uninstall button in the client and then re-download it. Alienhead Posted October 16, 2024 Author Posted October 16, 2024 Uninstalled as you suggested. Upon creating an entirely new project I get the same file structure. Everything is tossed into the projects root directory. A new folder for everything. Quote Alienhead Components and Software
Josh Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 I think your program folder has a bunch of folders that were not deleted. Shaders are stored in a single zip file, because it takes a long time to download hundreds of individual files. At one point, I accidentally uploaded a zip file for all the shaders that did not contain a Shaders/ subfolder. This caused a bunch of shader files to be extracted into the template base folder. I fixed the mistake, but it looks like you still have the files in your Ultra Engine/Templates/Common folder and reinstalling that version did not delete them, so you will need to delete them manually. I bet if you uninstall again you will see that they are still there. I assume this is on the dev channel? Alienhead Posted October 16, 2024 Author Posted October 16, 2024 Dev channel yes.. Should I preform a complete reinstall ? What all needs to be be manaully removed? Quote Alienhead Components and Software
Josh Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 If you navigate to the Ultra Engine/Templates/Common folder I think you will see a lot of extra folders there. Check that first and make sure it is the cause. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
Alienhead Posted October 16, 2024 Author Posted October 16, 2024 Yes that folder looks like the folder a Create Project makes. Quote Alienhead Components and Software
Solution Josh Posted October 16, 2024 Solution Posted October 16, 2024 Delete it, then uninstall / re-download and it should be gone. You might also want to delete your C:/ProgramData/Ultra Engine/temp folder. (You shouldn't need to, but maybe you might as well in case some file is somehow set to read-only or something).
