How do I produce this error? I can only see a problem if no material layer has been added. Does this occur when a material layer exists?

Ah okay...material drag and drop onto terrain is just an accidentaly effect of the API. This wasn't something I really thought about, but I think I can turn that into a usable feature...

I made these changes:

  1. When you drag a material onto a terrain, a new layer is added, or if the material already appears in the terrain, the existing layer is selected.
  2. The side panel will switch over to the terrain panel when this happens.
  3. Material properties are disabled until a material is added to a new terrain.
