To reproduce the bug, just draw a brush. Then try to make a 2nd brush(maybe try to move and resize it too), but instead of creating it just cancel it. After that you shouldn't be able to draw brushes although you're still in draw mode(meaning BOX, WEDGE or whatever you had is still selected on top).

Here is what I did:

  1. Dragged the left mouse button in a 2D viewport to draw the brush outline.
  2. Press enter to create a box.
  3. Dragged the left mouse button in the same viewport to draw another outline.
  4. Press cancel.
  5. Dragged the left mouse button in the same viewport to draw another outline.
  6. Press enter to create a box.

No problems with that.

I do the same steps that you mentioned above, plus,  after making the first brush, i switch the editor to 1 single viewport and change it top "Top" or "Left" view, i forgot but its shown in the video. Keep in mind that I still have that shader problem that you mentioned on Discord, you can check that in the video too, so who knows, that may be causing the bug?!

Thank you. I have found what seems to trigger the issue.

  1. Drag a box outline in a 2D viewport.
  2. Move the mouse inside the box and press the left mouse button.
  3. Press escape while keeping the left mouse button down.
