Mappa Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Hi! is it possible that if I re-organize my folders and move the meshes around then they don't get saved in the map? For example yesterday i created a building in the world. Saved my map etc but then my folders looked like c*** therefore i moved my meshes. At first nothing happened in the scene but when i re-opened the game this morning my whole map is blank and my scene tab squeaky clean. Is this a bug? or since i changed the path the meshes disappeared from the scene? Thanks Quote

I have one error like such in the console, roughly 1 error per mesh that was in the scene. Good to know, moving forward I will restructure my folders before I drop anything in the scene. Is it a lot of work to code in a safety net or to link objects to the map and not to the file location? Thanks Quote

Thanks i think i had 500+ meshes.. R.I.P. HAHAHAHA POSTITIVE NOTE: I didn't have any material on them and I was wondering already if then I had to create a material and assign it to each single one of them since they were modular pieces or I could just assign it to the root mesh so in a way.... I would have deleted the map myself LMAO I just have to know this folder thingy for the future so I can start building the habit. Thanks. Mappa Quote
Dreikblack Posted July 21 Posted July 21 You can open map in text editor and manually change path for models. Should looks like: "path": "Models/Environment/Model.mdl". 1 Quote Check out Slipgate Tactics demo, which is made with Ultra Engine/Leadwerks 5: https://www.leadwerks.com/community/topic/61480-slipgate-tactics-demo/

I tested it on my map and the start map however my file is just empty while in the start map i see the "path": ecc I only see: "scene" "environment" "extras" "groups" as main categories, so to speak it is like... the whole thing was just wiped down Quote

Might be exactly that, I'm testing now another map. trying to understand the workflow. For example limbs eheh I'm reading here on the forum but i quite don't know how they are created. My mesh seems all to have it but if i delete the root then the limb can't be removed... either way.. not relevant to this thread Quote
Josh Posted Tuesday at 06:50 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:50 PM I plan to add a search function in the editor that will find missing files. However, this is not currently a supported feature, so this is not a bug. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
