jussi Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Hi, I'm new here. First of all, thank you for your work, I'm glad to see new game engines on the market. I just downloaded Leadwerks. One thing I noticed in my first test: 1. Create a terrain 2. Create a Box 3. Create a Point Light 4. Create a camera with FPSPlayer component The result is that the player collides with the boxes shadow. I am able to push the box from all sides where there is no shadow, but on the shadow sides the box is kinetic/immovable. Here is a short video to visualize what I mean: https://streamable.com/1wdmub The camera and FPSPlayer are default. Here are the properties of the box: Quote

I will check this out and see if I can produce the same error. I literatlly just uploaded a fix on the beta branch for something that might be related to this. 1 Quote Let's build cool stuff and have fun.
Josh Posted Thursday at 01:31 AM Posted Thursday at 01:31 AM @jussi I am not sure how to make this error occur. Is it possible to upload the map you created that caused this? I just need the .map file. You can compress it as a ZIP and add it to your post as an attachment. Quote Let's build cool stuff and have fun.
jussi Posted Thursday at 07:07 AM Author Posted Thursday at 07:07 AM Yes, of course! I did think of uploading the map data in the initial post, but was worried about breaching some licenses due to the engine's proprietary license. I just tried to reproduce the issue again: https://streamable.com/7mwjgl I'm pretty sure this is just a user-error. Map data attached to this message, thank you! start.zip 1 Quote
Josh Posted Thursday at 08:08 PM Posted Thursday at 08:08 PM There is definitely something strange going on, continuing to test this... start.zip Quote Let's build cool stuff and have fun.
Solution Josh Posted Friday at 04:23 AM Solution Posted Friday at 04:23 AM The problem is you placed a camera in the scene and added the FPS player script to this, which internally creates another camera. Use a pivot instead and it will work correctly. Quote Let's build cool stuff and have fun.
