kennar Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I've just upgraded to a larger C drive and would like to move the Leadworks installation from another drive. I looked but it doesn't appear that the Steam client makes this easy. I assume I have to delete, manually or otherwise, then re-install. If not, suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Quote
martyj Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 You'd have to move your whole steam folder to a new drive. What you could do if you don't want to do that is use what's called a Junction. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa365006%28v=vs.85%29.aspx It basically creates a link from one folder to another. So Steam will save in SteamApps/Common/Leadwerks, which you could change to another drive. ------- If you want to move your whole steam folder (recommended). Just copy everything to a new drive, then delete everything out of the steam folder EXCEPT SteamApps and Steam.exe. Run the Steam.exe and Steam will re-installl in the new location. Quote
kennar Posted April 23, 2016 Author Posted April 23, 2016 Thanks, I'll probably go with the recommended option though good to know about Junctions. Quote
tjheldna Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I use a small program called Steam Tool. Works great!. http://www.stefanjones.ca/steam/ Quote
