Josh Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Just now, Dreikblack said: Is there a way to rotate model in model viewer without breaking animation? Not really. They stupidly based the whole thing on inverse bind matrices. I have spent weeks and weeks trying to make something that always works, and it always ends up breaking other animations. Dreikblack Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Even resaving via Blender and MS 3D viewer does not help me - animation still breaks in LW5 Quote Check out Slipgate Tactics demo, which is made with Ultra Engine/Leadwerks 5: https://www.leadwerks.com/community/topic/61480-slipgate-tactics-demo/
Josh Posted August 2 Posted August 2 I think Unwrap3D resets the default pose to match the inverse bind matrices when it loads animated files. I asked for support in the gltf transform tool to remove the bind matrices, but nothing ever came of it. https://github.com/KhronosGroup/glTF/issues/2411#issuecomment-2171769519 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
Yue Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Something that happens with Mixamo is that the rotation of the bones is not in orientation 0,0,0, I think that could be the drawback Quote Murphy's Law: We don't fix bugs, we document them as features. – Murphy Games
