htharker1 Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 Unable to face-select either end face of a cylinder. Only workaround is select the entire cylinder object then go on to face-edit mode, deselect all faces apart from the two end faces. Very small objects also have this issue. Creating a 1x1x128 box brush for example, neither end face can be selected directly. Quote
Josh Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 I cannot produce any problem with cylinders? How big is the cylinder you are trying this on? Quote Let's build cool stuff and have fun.
htharker1 Posted December 1, 2025 Author Posted December 1, 2025 So I've just tried making a 16x16x128 cylinder. Tried to select either end of the shape with the face select tool and it won't allow me to. So a reasonable size. Only seems to affect square faces if they are really small (around 2 or 3 units in length/width) Quote
Josh Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 I think I know how to fix this, but it will take more time... picktest.zip Quote Let's build cool stuff and have fun.
Josh Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Okay, so I think my approach here is going to be to revise the way brush raycasts are implemented. It's not a huge task, I just need to test it a lot. Quote Let's build cool stuff and have fun.
Josh Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Not done with this yet. Quote Let's build cool stuff and have fun.
Josh Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 Okay, I think I finished it. Update will come tomorrow. Quote Let's build cool stuff and have fun.
