luxgud Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I have no interest in Steam other than using it as a shop window to see what's available and to read peoples comments and reviews. I have an account but Steam is not installed on my PC. If I purchased the Standard version, would I need Steam running to access upgrades or anything else might I need ? Thanks Quote
Rick Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 It is sort of a bummer if Steam is required. I use Steam but for some reason I can only open Leadwerks once from Steam. If I want to open it again I have to kill the Steam process (because it won't quit normally because it still thinks a program is running (Leadwerks), and then reopen Steam and then I can reopen Leadwerks. I have to do that every time. I would prefer a stand alone version. Quote
Josh Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 No, but there are a lot of features you can only get through the Steam build. Quote Let's build cool stuff and have fun.
luxgud Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 Are those 'extra features' only for the Standard build too ? Thanks for your patience Quote
Josh Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 What I mean is direct publishing of screenshots and videos, and most importantly the upcoming Steam Workshop. Quote Let's build cool stuff and have fun.
luxgud Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 Thanks Josh - I thought it meant upgrades Quote
