file synchronisation program

can anyone recomend a program that I can use to synchronise files easyly between server en computer? I'm currently using an FTP program to update files and use short messages to inform others about which files are updated. This isn't really efficient working. So I'm looking for a program that is kinda similair to the Leadwerks installer. The program checks if there are new or updated files and downloads them.

I am rewriting my updater now .. it will use streamed downloading, so i can handle all things around and new server side client for making fileilst with MD5 checksum for reliable data.

As another option, not to steal business away from Whisper, you can check out RakNet. They have a plugin that does just this also.

It's exactly the opposite of stealing business by showing other tools, because then wh1sp3r can make his tool even better and beat all competition!

You could also use SVN.

Now, I am working on Synctool for server You can select files, which you want update and it makes everything for you automaticly

Here is, how it looks like B)

 

User can click on Check updates, when new updates exists, it will ask you, if you want to update.

Application on right side is for server. You can choose a folder, which will be synchronized with server and when It's done, updater knows about it. So, what you have in folder on HDD It's on server You can deselect folders, which you don't want to sync.

 

It's using MD5 for checking, if files are different

if anybody is interested, i will sell it for 9€ only i can modify it, as you want.

I'm happy to see how an useful tool can make "thanks" money, it gives all us indie developers some hope.

You don't always need to write huge games, sometimes just little useful things make you happy!
