legobrainiac Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Im a litle confused. Some people tell me raknet is c++ some tell me its lua. What programing language exactly is raknet? Quote
DudeAwesome Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 you really have to ask this question? http://www.jenkinssoftware.com/ RakNet is a cross platform, open source, C++ networking engine for game programmers. A lower level framework powers higher-level features such as game object replication, voice chat, and patching. Quote It doesn´t work... why? mhmmm It works... why?
gamecreator Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I think the confusion may lie in that supposedly you could get it to work with the Lua version of Leadwerks through some DLL trickery. But hopefully Leadwerks C++ will be released soon and we'll never hear of Lua again. Quote
Guppy Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 You can use raknet or any shared library in lua but you will need to make a wrapper that exports the functionality to lua Quote System: Linux Mint 17 ( = Ubuntu 14.04 with cinnamon desktop ) Ubuntu 14.04, AMD HD 6850, i5 2500k
legobrainiac Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 Thanks for clearinng that question. :-) Quote
