Im a litle confused. Some people tell me raknet is c++ some tell me its lua.

What programing language exactly is raknet?

RakNet is a cross platform, open source, C++ networking engine for game programmers. A lower level framework powers higher-level features such as game object replication, voice chat, and patching.

I think the confusion may lie in that supposedly you could get it to work with the Lua version of Leadwerks through some DLL trickery. But hopefully Leadwerks C++ will be released soon and we'll never hear of Lua again.

You can use raknet or any shared library in lua but you will need to make a wrapper that exports the functionality to lua
