How does A Demon's Game crowdfund with this? It looks like just a promotional tool?

I added my support. I would like to know how well this works.

Basically with thunderclap the hope is a rather large number of people join. At a certain time time everyone who joined tweet/post the same message/hashtag. The goal/hope is that enough people join to cause the hashtag/message to trend on twitter/facebook causing it to have exposure to everyone.

I think because it sets a goal, it is much better than saying "hey guys, if you can retweet this that would be great!", especially if you tie some kind of reward to the outcome.

 

If the ADG page posts something, it's only going to go out to 74 people (according to how many active people are supporting his campaign). With Thunderclap, that number becomes 157,000. Much bigger.
