I opened 3DWS and left it alone for a few minutes. Then I tried to click on the window and it crashed again.

I took a look at this seeing that you have had no replies and I cannot reproduce any of the problems you've highlighted above, it all works ok on my Windows 7 installation. The only issue I see is a 'wrong thread' warning as I close the application down, which has been there since I first installed it.

I'm wondering if this is somehow a graphics driver related issue?

Intel Core i5 2.66 GHz, Asus P7P55D, 8Gb DDR3 RAM, GTX460 1Gb DDR5, Windows 7 (x64), LE Editor, GMax, 3DWS, UU3D Pro, Texture Maker Pro, Shader Map Pro. Development language: C/C++

I have two monitors and I think that could be the issue. I'll try again later with a single monitor and see what happens.

I also run Win 7 x64, and have had no crashing issues, other then the error that pops up when I close it, which was already mentioned.

The only time I ever had crashing issues was graphics card related.

As a general thing, I recommend against Win7-64 unless you need that extra RAM for some reason. I am running Win7 64-bit and the only benefit I get are two "Program Files" folders and EFax and a bunch of other programs won't run.

This is the third 64-bit OS and it still hasn't caught on.

Let's build cool stuff and have fun. :)
