apolomoon Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I just bought leadwerk and downloaded it but when I try to launch it all it does is say "copying sample project for the first time" then it freezes and I have to end the program. After reinstalling it I tried again and after a while it said my graphics hardware might not be compatible. Can anyone help with this? Quote

apolomoon Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 What is your graphics card? Is it compatible with opengl 4? I have an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+. By the way sorry I accidentally posted this twice. Quote
Josh Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Your graphics card does not support OpenGL 4. The good news is you can get one that does for not very much money, and it will make all your games run much faster: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150542 1 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
legobrainiac Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 my graphics card supports opengl 4.2 does this mean it also support 4.0 (hope it doesnt sound too stupid) Quote
Christian Clavet Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 @legobrainiac If it's openGL 4.0+ you should be ok. So 4.2 is good. @apolomoon I've checked on the NVidia site and It support only OpenGL 2.1. Too old for lots of new games. You should consider getting a more recent more if you're serious about developing games. Quote
