GetPixels() exposed to Lua

Recommended Posts

Yeah that would probably be the ideal, but a quick win or low hanging fruit, or other corporate jargon would be to just expose GetPixels() :)

The idea with that is basically an array of char right? Can't you just have that be a table in Lua and do the translation of the table to char* and back? So GetPixel() will return a table that is acting as an array, and SetPixel() takes the lua table as an argument and inside the C++ code it converts that table to char* and calls the C++ version of SetPixel().

It may not be a direct translation from C++ but it can still look like it's working the same way from the users end.

I haven't run it either but by the sounds of it they're talking about some sort of visibility meter that knows when you're being lit up by a light source.

Never played Theif, but Styx was nice. Also splinter cell games back in the days.

you should play Thief at some point, it's a good game if you like stealthbiggrin.png
