I still use Video Wave III from MGI, that is such as great tool still for simple editing and transitioning.

Intel Core i5 2.66 GHz, Asus P7P55D, 8Gb DDR3 RAM, GTX460 1Gb DDR5, Windows 7 (x64), LE Editor, GMax, 3DWS, UU3D Pro, Texture Maker Pro, Shader Map Pro. Development language: C/C++

Is it just recording the scene view or the entire editor with all its buttons? because if it just renders the scene view, I will stick with fraps.

 

At the moment I use Fraps for ingame recording and Camtasia 6 for desktop recording. The problem with this is that the scene view doesn't get rendered well using Camtasia, but when I use fraps, the editor buttons are not recorded.

 

oftopic: for such a tool, it is remarkable how bad their webdesign is. look at the css style and wordArt! :)

I use this to merge a series of bitmaps into an AVI. It's the only tool I found that can produce AVIs over 2 gb with this method.
