Admin Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 The final build of Leadwerks 3.1: Indie Edition for Windows is uploaded to Steam and the release date is set to january 6th at noon, PST. However, I do not know how much review Valve has yet to do, and am awaiting to hear from them for the final OK. Steam keys will be sent out shortly to those who are receiving them. 6 Quote
Guppy Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Will those of us who received a steam key as part of the kickstarter have "Leadwerks 3.1: Indie Edition for Windows" added to our client area? Having recently removed windows from the of the house hold computers that had this "infection" I'll have to wait (im-)patiently for the linux release, but I'd still like to be able to see the rest of forums soon 1 Quote System: Linux Mint 17 ( = Ubuntu 14.04 with cinnamon desktop ) Ubuntu 14.04, AMD HD 6850, i5 2500k
Admin Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 It won't be in the client area, as that product is not even being sold on our site, but it will appear in your Steam account if you enter your key. I would have preferred to release Linux/Windows/Mac at the same time, but the indie version on Windows is the easiest to put out immediately. Quote
Guppy Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 My question was more about the forum access that comes from holding a license - or do you mean to split the steam developer discussion off to forums on steam it self? ESP Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 As a non-Steam user, what are we waiting for? Robin 1 Quote Programmer , Intel Quad core, NVIDIA GeForce GT 220, Windows 7 Pro, Galaxy Tab 2 ( 7" and 10"), LE2,LE3,3DWS
Rick Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 @ESP My guess is that LE releasing software on Steam is completely new to the company, so he wants to make sure that launch goes smoothly as there could be Steam specific issues to overcome as Steam adds a middle layer. Quote
Josh Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Releasing the indie edition for Windows-only is much easier than the full 3.1 release, so it's coming first. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
Cassyblanca Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I still haven't received my Steam key from my pre-order. Is something going on with this? Quote
Joshua Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I assume the delay is being caused by some trouble with the launch on the Steam client. We must unfortunately be patient a little while longer. Quote
Cassyblanca Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Ah, had thought it was out to everybody else. That's cool then. Quote
Admin Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 Working on it now. You'll get it today, very soon. 1 Quote

josk Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Running from Steam I find its trying to load stuff from my old installation of Leadwerks 3, (didn't want to delete yet) so getting errors. I think its a case of changing the path but cant find the right path at the moment. Ignore I just needed to import MYGAME throught the project manager. It was trying to load an old map.
